Some areas of work that need Medical indemnity to protect from Medical malpractice may surprise you. For example, did you know that anyone who adds ear, nose or body  piercings should have Medical indemnity. Even people who do not practice invasive treatments, for example psychiatrists, need to have Medical indemnity as well. If there is any chance that you could harm someone via medical malpractice you need to cover yourselves.

However, it is not only professionals working in these industries that need cover. If you are a first aider or if you give out medical treatment if someone becomes ill on your property or place of work then you should consider getting Medical indemnity. An example of this is if you gave someone with the best intentions an aspirin for pain relief but unfortunately  they were allergic to it.
