Build your house on a rock and not on the sand!

From the Gospel of Mathew chapter seven verses 24-27 comes the Parable of the Wise and Foolish builders. Jesus taught this story to his followers at the end of The Sermon on the Mount. The Parable is about two men, one who listens to the teachings of Jesus and builds his life on a solid foundation and one who ignores the truth and builds his house up on the sand.  Apart from the firm foundations when you’re building a house make sure the roof is weather proof and structurally sound.  With a company like stormroofingltd.co.uk your Roofing Cheltenham needs will be taken care of. There have been many well-known songs, hymns and nursery rhymes that take this parable and interpret it with different lyrics. The 1834 hymn “My Hope is built on Nothing Less” by Edward Mote and the children’s action song “The Wise Man built His house upon the Rock” are just two examples.
