What to Bring to a Boiler Service

To make the service as smooth and as quick as possible it is helpful if you can gather together some information prior to the engineers visit.

Previous Service Records

Any previous service records, and also records of any repairs or work that has been done to your boiler previously.

Boiler Model and Meter Details

A note of the Boiler Make, Model and Serial Number of the Boiler and a reference to the Gas Meter(s) would be helpful.

A List of Any Symptoms or Error Codes

Any fault codes that your boiler is currently displaying as well as any unusual noises or symptoms could be written down on a short list to inform the engineer of any problems prior to arrival.

Warranty or Landlord Paperwork

Do you have any warranty left on the boiler? And have any Landlord compliance certificates that require updating?

Clear Access to the Boiler

Clear access to the Boiler is required for the service to be carried out. This means that any items stored in front of and around the boiler need to be moved prior to the engineer’s arrival.

Proof of Your Engineer’s Credentials

It’s also worth checking the Gas Safe registration of your chosen engineer before they start work, as all gas engineers are required to carry a current Gas Safe ID card. There is more on Boiler Service Cheltenham at www.hprservicesltd.com/cheltenham-boilers/boiler-service-cheltenham.

Having the above ready will enable the engineer to complete the work to the best of his ability.
