Signs You Have a Gas Leak

Gas is naturally odourless but thankfully, suppliers have added a scent to it so that you can tell if you are dealing with a leak. This is because a leak can be dangerous if left. If you can smell gas then there is an emergency number for you to call. Although not definite culprits, a leak can be the result of problems with your gas appliances or the plumbing in your home. If your gas appliances are the problem, then you will need to have them repaired as soon as possible, or make sure you change the valve in your appliance to prevent a gas leak from occurring again.

If you have any signs of faulty appliances or there is a smell of gas, then you need to make sure you have a professional come to your home and look at your gas line to see if they can find the source of the leak. For anyone with problems with their gas meter, a replacement box might be on the cards. For a Gas Meter box, visit Meterbox.

Other signs that could indicate a gas leak include a sulfur smell, damage to gas pipes, a hissing sound next to gas pipes or gas appliances and bubbles evident in your water. If you are having a problem with headaches or dizziness as well, then be sure to act fast and have a gas engineer visit your property.
