Head to Yorkshire this Summer for a Summer Holiday Escape

For most people in the UK, a staycation is looking like it is by far the most sensible option this year. Going abroad feel like it may be a bit of a gamble, and for many it is not worth the risk. However, holidays in the UK are something that we should all embrace, as we have so much beautiful countryside and a variety of different places to explore, many which are steeped in history.

If you are looking to go somewhere that has plenty to offer but is more off the beaten track than the usual Cornwall and Dorset holidays, why not head for Yorkshire? There are plenty of things to do in Ripon, as well as peaceful walks in the surrounding areas, as well as some of the most beautiful beaches to enjoy.

For stunning walks you will find yourself right in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Walk along the riverside, explore the woods and forests and see local scenery made by man like the missile early warning system ‘golf balls’ of Flyingdales nestled in the landscape, to the Druids Temple – a stone circle created by a wealthy landowner less than 200 years ago.
